The Dolly Dialogues

[edit]

I have an undated copy of this book, published by T Nelson & Sons, with 24 chapters. A note on the flyleaf suggests that my copy was originally purchased in 1933, probably as a cheap edition.

Various on-line sources such as Project Gutenberg only have 20 chapters. The additional four were serialised in the Windsor Magazine in 1901 as "More Dolly Dialogues". Sources suggest that the original chapters were serialised in the Westminster Gazette before being published in book form in 1894. I surmise that the book as originally published had 20 chapters but that editions printed after 1901 were increased to 24. Can anyone confirm that this was the case ?
