Not a pseudoscience

I have removed the link to the pseudoscience caegory. It is not stated as a pseudoscience in the text, although it has been abused in the guise of science, which is different. Phrenology, which also relied on body measurement, was a pseudoscience. Verne Equinox 18:37, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Added pseudoscience category also couple of words of "pseudoscience" in the article, a reference is also given.

I would suggest that only the topics listed in the Pseudoscience article should be included as pseudoscience, or else find some verifiable published research according to WP:RS. --apers0n 13:56, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

The only parts of it which are pseudoscience are the belief that you can figure out someone's personality traits or intelligence or "criminality" from the shape of their face or body. The measurement of people in and of itself isn't pseudoscience, of course, nor is it necessarily pseudoscience to use it for identification purposes (though some implementations of it in the past have been quite poor—i.e. Bertillon's system had many failings). --Fastfission 15:40, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Anthropometrics and clothing sizing

There are many universities studying range of sizes in clothing. It is not just "scientists" as this page leads you to believe:

"outside academia, scientists working for private companies and government agencies conduct anthropometric studies to determine what range of sizes clothing and other items need to be manufactured in."

TC2 www.tc2.org is a non-profit organization that is facilitating anthropometric studies by supporting research done at universities with 3D body scanners (Cornell University, NC State, Auburn University, University of Missouri).

I know this first hand bc I am a student at Auburn University using anthropometric data to improve the fit of clothing for tween girls in my thesis.

I have 2 photos: 2 daguerrotypes supposedly from 1839 and 1852 (13 years apart). I'd like to know if it is the same person on both photos. Would you know of anybody or organizations would can provide this kind of service? And Biometrics?

Why is there a section with the header "Modern Anthropometry and Biometrics" that doesn't say anything about biometrics anywhere within it?

bad reference url display

The first reference is displaying as [3] followed by the article name in (along with the year of publication (presumably)). How can we change it so the reference displays like the others?

And what are those ISO numbers that show up when you edit the references? I looked in the article-editing manual and couldn't find a reference to them. Maybe I didn't look hard enough - I'll re-search.

Also I don't know how I got those italics in there but I have to run so I'll look into that when I get back :-)

Physiognomy

In the section Physiognomy, there is the following: "A few of the 14 identified traits of a criminal included..." and goes on by giving precisely fourteen traits, and finishes off with "and so on". If a few of fourteen is fourteen, logic is out for lunch. If it then concludes with :"and so on", this lunch seems one of the proportions Lig Lury, Jr is supposed to will be having had.
