MLA missing from list of MLAs[edit]

I'm adding this to talk page to explain edit I just made in article. When reading the article, I noticed that an MLA, John L. McIsaac, who died in office on March 24, 1941 was listed as having been elected in the October 1941 election and served in 42nd Assembly. This would be kind of hard to accomplish almost 7 months after his death. According to the electoral history for the riding,[1] the candidate that ran for the Liberals in the 1941 general election was a man named John A. MacIsaac. It was this John A. MacIsaac that was elected and served in the 42nd Assemly, but he too died in office on June 1, 1942. I'm thinking the similar names, both deaths while in office and Elections Nova Scotia referring to the winner in the 1941 official records as John MacIssac with no middle initial has caused some confusion that has led to the MLA who actually won the 1941 election being left out as if he never existed. The electoral history pdf above clearly shows this and gives the dates that each MLA died in office.

This book[2]] that provides a biography for all MLAs elected up to 1984 also clearly shows the error in the article. There are two separate entries, and the article for John A. MacIssac on page 134 clearly says he was elected for the Antigonish riding in 1941 and died June 1, 1942. Page 323 lists the 42nd Assembly where the death of John A. MacIsaac on June 1, 1942 is again mentioned, and page 348 is a list of all MLAs for Antigonish and again there is clearly two separate names J.L. MacIssac and John A. MacIsaac. I will edit the article to reflect what the sources say. It's not like I'm just making this up, it can all be verified by taking a quick look at what I provided here. I will even add an article for those involved so that the correct info is in the articles. Cmr08 (talk) 02:59, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
