Acer statement not very helpful

[edit]

The statement on the page that Acer section Trilobata did not survive subsequent taxonomic work gives, I think, a rather unfair impression of Dr Pojarkova's work. She created a large number of new taxa, some of which have survived and some have not. Her very detailed observations have served as a foundation for later work. Overall, her contribution was very great, but having this one statement on the page seems to me to belittle that achievement. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 13:56, 22 October 2012 (UTC

Do feel free to add or change as much as you can. I only created a "start" article and Im not a botanist - do represent better if you can Victuallers (talk) 14:03, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No doubt - well-imformed & referenced additions would be most welcomed. I'm not sure the authors so far have much botanical expertise. I certainly don't. Johnbod (talk) 14:04, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pojarkovia

[edit]

Unfortunately, I can't access full citation details for the genus Pojarkovia, though the basics are at IPNI. The volume is in the Hathi Trust collection with search-only capabilities, bur for unknown reasons the search doesn't work. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 13:45, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
