Refences to the actual person

[edit]

I know this sounds ridiculous but are there any references that show that Antonio Frilli actually existed and was a sculptor? I was looking at the amazing photos of his sculptures and tried to find out more about him but wikipedia says little and I can't find any place where a actual physical original Antonio Frilli is on display. Everywhere I look I just find places selling replicas but I can't find the originals. I know this is well into the original research territory (and possibly tin hat crazy) but this is a talk page so give me some leaway and I just can't find any actual solid references to him. Even the original wikipedia article was created by someone who created this page and then vanished. What looks like definitive websites such as https://www.frilligallery.com/ turn out to be places selling copies with no information on Frilli or his sculptures. I am going to feel embarrassed when someone posts something obvious. Mtpaley (talk) 19:35, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There are even articles like this [1] that say he died in 1920 and yet posthumously won a prize in 1904. And this one says he died in 1892 [2]. It is all very .... odd.
