Are you sure lyrics are not from Hal David ?

[edit]

According to the book "Burt Bacharach Antology" published by Warner Bros (ISBN 1-5762-3762-1) the song lyrics are from Hal David — Preceding unsigned comment added by Strk (talkcontribs) 09:53, 21 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The original record label credits Hilliard, On this page, there is a quote from Bacharach: "I wrote that song with Bob Hilliard, a wonderful lyric writer, not that we wrote that much together but it was in the Brill Building days. I thought it was a pretty good song, a good R&B song. We'd been doing that song in my show with John Pagano, up-tempo, it's pretty funky and it's good."
