Reply: Am stars and Ap stars are very different classifications and exhibit many different characteristics. Ap stars show different peculiarities of elements, have larger magnetic fields and exhibit rapid oscillations, which Am stars do not. If this article is to be merged with Am stars, it should be by expanding the general article on peculiar stars, in my opinion. If not then they should be kept separate. I am currently adding extra details on Ap stars, which may justify keeping the article separate. Astrojon (talk) 19:35, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
