Japatani

We need a reference for this. Google shows nothing other then wiki mirrors although this doesn't say much since it's not surprising this isn't talked about on the internet. It sounds a bit dubious to me. Firstly, do the neighbouring tribes even predominantly speak English? If they speak Hindi for example, what's the word for Japan in Hindi? If it sounds more like Nippon or something then surely they're more likely to be Nippotani or something. More importantly I wonder whether it's really something the neighbouring tribes are likely to use. It's something a journalist or whatever might use or someone with a international focus but I'm not so sure about Indian tribes. I'm not saying that they're all primitives who don't know what Japan is, they probably do but people tend to use things which they are familiar and used to. The tribes may know about Japan and its history but this doesn't mean it will ever occur to them to call the Apatani, Japatani. So all in all sounds a bit dubious to me.
