Notability - for ease of demonstration[edit]

As a fairly marginal AfC case in terms of notability provided in-article, I suspect it is probably worthwhile indicating the more reliable Sig Cov sources. Given their substantiveness, I suspect there are probably additional worthwhile sources that could be sought out.

Intro[edit]

  • In the first sentence, replacing Tysons with McLean[1]
  • Adding this sentence to the end of the second paragraph: Its Low-Code Automation Platform enables businesses to create apps using little or no code.[2][3]

History[edit]

  • After the first sentence, add: Matt Calkins is the CEO.[1]
  • After the 2004 line, add: In 2010, Appian Cloud was accredited with Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) low-level security by the U.S. Education Department. In 2013, it received FISMA Moderate Authorization and Accreditation from the General Services Administration (GSA). GSA procurement offices used Appian Cloud for acquisition planning.[4]
  • After 2018 line, add: In May 2019, Appian released Appian AI to allow customers to implement artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities in any application built on Appian’s platform.[5]

  • In the first paragraph, adding the following after "Matt Calkins is the CEO" Calkins graduated from Dartmouth in 1994 with a degree in economics and then joined MicroStrategy, a business software vendor.[13] He became the company’s youngest director when he was named the director of the Enterprise Product Group.[14][15] When he was 26, he left MicroStrategy and co-founded Appian.[14]
  • Adding this to the end of the "In 2014, Appian received $37.5 million" sentence: which was paid out to shareholders.[16]
  • After the "In 2014, Appian received" paragraph, adding: In 2015, Ryder began using apps built by Appian to switch to paperless processing. The apps are used by customers during the checkout process and internally for truck maintenance records.[17][18]
  • Replacing In 2018, Appian announced it will move its headquarters with In 2018, Appian moved its headquarters
  • In the last paragraph, the following updates:

 Not done I think this flag is still necessary. There is lots of promotional language throughout the article and it will take an extensive rewrite to remove. Low-code automation platform[edit]

Appian offers a low-code automation platform with a visual interface and pre-built development modules.[25] As of August 2020, Appian was the only pure-play provider of low-code software.[26] Companies can use the platform to reduce the time it takes to build, deploy, and update applications with the help of AI tools and bots.[10][25] The platform protects privacy and security with its HIPAA-compliant cloud.[27]

The platform includes:

  • Appian AI: Appian’s artificial intelligence technology is a core part of its platform and enables developers to build AI-capabilities into all apps.[28][29] The platform also offers Intelligent Document Processing (IDP). These technologies are supported in part by a partnership with Google Cloud.[28]
  • Appian RPA: robotic process automation was added to the platform after Appian acquired Novaryre Solutions SL in January 2020.[30] The RPA offering provides full-stack automation, case management, and governance.[31][32] It runs on Appian Cloud for security and scalability.[31]

Appian offers several pre-built frameworks, including:

  • Workforce Safety and Readiness app: the app provides workplaces with a central command center, workforce screening, and quick issue resolution. It was designed to help businesses safely reopen their offices during crises such as COVID-19.[10]
  • CampusPass: helps educational campuses collect COVID-19 related data about individuals and coordinate health and safety guidelines across academic communities.[33][34]
  • Appian Institutional Onboarding for Financial Services: provides pre-built data records, AI-based document understanding, and packaged integrations to help institutions simplify onboarding.[35]
  • Requirements Management Solution: for use by government organizations to manage the acquisition process.[36]
  • Appian Intelligent Document Processing: this combines Appian AI with Google Cloud services to provide smart processing of unstructured documents.[28]

Hi, I have reformatted the information to read as less promotional. I have removed the Financial Services information because the link is not a WP:RS (there is no Wikipedia article on AiThority and when I tried to access the website I received a security warning). Addressing recent edits[edit]

Added back some of the information removed by 2620:8d:8000:1028:3926:25a5:f03c:eebd. Framworks section seems fine, just need to adjust title to match the section. Sources seem to use "solutions" but sounds like a buzzwrd. Add back CEO info, has received good amt of coverage to include and is owner of almost half the shares. Fixed alphebetical order of founders based on last name which is standard. You asked me to review the Appian article. I have incorporated most of your changes, and made some edits for compactness. There still seemsto be considerable duplication of referneces; I will get oti t when I can. After I do, I'll probably remove the banner. There are 3 remaining problems--how much about the CEO to incorporate, if he does not get his separate article (which I am not going to judge or review),--whether the Ryder contract is significant-- and whether to describe the firm as engaged in Enterprise software and cloud computing software. I think it's important to keep enterprise in somewhere to describe the business level being aimed at. For attribution purposes, it is necessary for you to retain your draft page.
