Merge[edit]

I think it was a mistake to carve out this section from the main article, it dosn't have enough weight to stand out on it's own and how are these "concurrent incidents", this is the Arab Spring! It also seems like everyone just forgot about this page after the split, which is probably why it's so embarrassingly out of date, it seems like that happens alot with these kinds of misguided splits (remember what happened to the page "Overview of the Arab Spring". • Support This is an odd topic (or at least title) for a Wikipedia article. Merging seems prudent. —Ost (talk) 16:16, 21 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Since every section in this article points to a main article on that specific set of protests, I think the content from this article can be trimmed down even more and added back into the main article. The concurrent article does not offer anything that isn't contained in the main Arab Spring article or the individual articles linked to from this one. —Zujine|talk 16:47, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Don't Merge I think the reason this article is here is that the first one was too damn long. Sort of like the problems with World War II. I think we need more tinkering with THAT article and changed the title for this one to something like, I dunno, Arab Spring: Lesser (or Minor) incidents.Ericl (talk) 13:42, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that length is an issue, it's just that this article is such a joke, maybe we should just delete it and slightly expand the minor events section of the main article, just a quick overview is all that's really needed. Charles Essie (talk) 19:39, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment - we can have an incidents article, but summary should be present in the main article.GreyShark (dibra) 14:31, 12 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support This article is not big enough to stand alone. — Lentower (talk) 00:42, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think we should merge the two together because one of 'em as serious faults whereas the other one is perfectly fine... :T — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.172.93.225 (talk) 23:23, 7 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment - it is already one year since the merge was initiated, and there doesn't seem to be a strong consensus to do so (4 supports including nominator and three opposes including one IP). Per WP:GF i however do see that data from this page must be present at the Arab Spring article as well, and currently when restructuring it, i would take this in mind.GreyShark (dibra) 18:20, 18 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
