Oh just do it. The other article has little extra to add. The main bit I don't understand is the title that mentions "female circumcision" in this article and then mainly talks about emasculation. Does someone know why? Victuallers 20:05, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hovsep Egulian repeated three times ?

[edit]

First thanks for who wrote this article, i noticed that her name "Hovsep Egulian" is repeated three times at the beginning and the spelling is same ill post it : "also known as Hovsep Egulian, Hovsep Egulian, and Hovsep Egulian," --ويــرح (talk) 22:42, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Arawelo or Gudit

[edit]

She reigned in Adal in Harar province. Her name was Tidina nicknamed Gufta. The stories are based on truth and falsehood. She did not reign during the time of Sheba but she was known to have destroyed Axum and she was an ethnic harla. Some background on the subject [1] Hopefully editors will be able to find more sources on the subject. Kiziotherapy (talk) 05:00, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Harla

[edit]

As a Somalilander I'm sure your aware that adal sultanate was comprised of harlans and they occupied zaila. What does Zaila mean in Somali, there's a meaning for it in Harla language. Next time you alter sources make sure the source says what you inserted into the article. Thanks. Kiziotherapy (talk) 06:15, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Kiziotherapy (talk) next time don't use my talk page and when you want to leave your comments do it on the subjects talk page and if you are en expert in harla people you know that Zila is 3 to 4 thousand years old from the times of the Greeks so it doesn't matter what its called in the so called harla language. The Somali problem is that our history is oral and not written and thanks to the foreigners who write in history you will find that all our history is stolen but hay we woke up and will write our own history by the way what does Arawelo mean in harla language ??? and don't give us your horrible example that Hargeisa city which is max 200 years old means little harar and how could a harla queen be queen to the Somalis and wasn't a queen to the so called harla known that the Somalis are proud people next time when you want to steal the Somali history do it with dignity.Bysomalilander (talk) 16:08, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Its like saying Queen of England cant be Queen of Somalis. Somalia was colonized as well therefore foreigners can easily be monarchs of other tribes. Don't alter sources it says Harla not Somali. see here [2] Kiziotherapy (talk) 17:22, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
stop writing on my talk page and my sources say she was the queen of the Somalis like in my line .Bysomalilander (talk) 17:30, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You can add in other views if you have sources but don't remove other sources. It already says Somali queen. These guys are extinct for a reason like you said Zaila is old and tribes come and go. Are you an Issaq clan member by any chance? Issaqs claim Sheikh Issaq married into Harla tribe, I have been told this by an Issaq. Kiziotherapy (talk) 17:34, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
first you should have used the second source and about the harla marring Sheikh Issaq to be announced no clue.Bysomalilander (talk) 17:47, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I added in Somali but if your not happy with the placement you can arrange it in a better format. We prefer to keep anything that's cited on Wikipedia. Kiziotherapy (talk) 17:57, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
thanks mate but to be fair it should read (She is said to be a Harla queen of the ancient Somali people ).Bysomalilander (talk) 19:15, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Kiziotherapy (talk) 15:58, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Time period?

[edit]

Why is there no mention of any birth/reign/death dates for Arawelo? 2600:1700:8D90:A2B0:213:72FF:FE32:59B5 (talk) 01:51, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
