Road block theory is baseless

[edit]

Not sure if there would be much benefit from blowing up the monument in the event of an invasion, given that any invading vehicles could merely use the roads either side of the monument, which are clearly shown on Google earth. 87.115.30.59 (talk) 04:30, 31 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to reply to my own comment but I notice the alleged source "Vice Guide to Travel" has also produced other pearls of wisdom such as "Wodka Wars", "Gypsies of Sofia" and "The Radioactive Beasts of Chernobyl". That they've found a genuine pearl in this instance cannot be ruled out, in which case there must be other more reputable sources out there agreeing with the theory, that comply with WP:SOURCES. 87.115.30.59 (talk) 04:43, 31 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Within the DMZ there are fortifications that can be dropped on the road to block an invasion. But they look like what they are, not like sculpted monuments. I'm removing the unsourced claim before it spreads. 24.22.217.162 (talk) 02:30, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
