Could someone complete the reference from Washington, DC? It may be from the Washington Post newspaper. Constructive 05:15, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

African American Graduates of the University of Iowa

[edit]

Archie Alexander was not the first black graduate of the University of Iowa. See, for example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laurence_C._Jones —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregor197 (talkcontribs) 00:21, 10 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Spingarn Medal?

[edit]

The article included a reference to Alexander receiving the Spingarn Medal in 1928. However, the Wikipedia article on Spingarn doesn't list him as a recipient in 1928 or any other year. Pending some resolution, I'm going to remove the claim. Kestenbaum 06:52, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject class rating

[edit]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot (talk) 18:03, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

College Football project?

[edit]

Not sure this page should fall under the college football project. Sure, he was a player, but the bulk of the article is not about football.--Paul McDonald (talk) 19:06, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Old figures

[edit]

Why are we using old figures as the conversion rate. 2009 dollars are 13 years old. Should we not cite a current conversion and find a way to keep it updating?John Pack Lambert (talk) 22:47, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
