I remember a sitcom in the 90s that had this book as a subject to be guessed in a game of charades. It was humorously guessed very quickly. I don't remember what show it was on, Can anyone help me out?

"we must, we must, we must increase our bust..."

This saying, chanted by girls to physical exercise intended to achieve this result, is of far greater antiquity than a 1970's novel. I am told that young British women used to recite it during the 1940's. The full text is;

  • "I must, I must, I must improve my bust,"
  • "The bigger the better,"
  • "The stronger the sweater,"
  • "The boys are depending on us!"

The use of the term sweater indicates a reference to the "Sweater Girls" as some of the 1940's "Pin ups" were known. As such I shall amend the note in the article. LessHeard vanU 19:36, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

New Catagory: Books with amended text

Someone who knows how should begin a new catagory, something along the lines of "Books with amended text" for books, like this one, that have changed text in later editions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.43.44.48 (talk) 11:42, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
