Naming conventions

During the time that the Argll aircraft engine was built the manufacturers name was Argylls Ltd. This is not the original name of the company which was named Argyll Motors Ltd until is first bankrupcy in 1908. The company underwent several bankrupcies, reformations and renamings.

The name of the engine is given as "the Argyll aircraft engine". This is the name used in Glen Angle's 1921 Aircraft Engine Encylopedia. The engine is sometimes described with other slightly different naming variations in later publications. Stivushka (talk) 17:21, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
