Arick Village is a hoax/fraud[edit]

This location is a Hoax/Fraud. It has been committed by a person/persons unknown at this time, though the matter is currently being looked into at a local level. It has only begun to appear in places online where users are allowed open access on good faith to submit information without up-front verification. It has been put into Google Maps/Google Earth as well as Wikipedia because it is possible to do so without verification within these systems, and because these systems are based on user honesty/good-faith. Both companies have been contacted to notify them that this place is fictitious/fraudulent and should be removed. The location of "Arick Villiage" as currently indicated in these online systems is actually a portion of an legally incorporated, HOA, subdivided property called Terlingua Ranch, and the area indicated as "Arick Villiage" is actually recorded within their records as a part of the "Big Bend Valley" area of their subdivision. There is no "Arick Villiage" of legal or factual record in Brewster County, Texas as currently indicated in this article, nor as it is currently indicated on Google Applications. For information/verification the Terlingua Ranch Administrative offices may be contacted at the numbers provided at this link (which is available at the official Terlingua Ranch Property Owners website): www.poatri.org/contact.html. They do have the official, legal, hard-copy, up-to-date maps available in their offices for the property in question that shows no mention of "Arick Villiage," and in fact the latest maps they have on file there were recently updated by the Regional Council within the past few months. Unfortunately, the links contained at the ranch Owner's site that re-direct to Google applications are not currently correct due to the same fraudulent "prank" being perpetrated on Google as well as Wikipedia, and they are still processing this information at Google for removal of "Arick Villiage" from their records/have only been contacted recently/concurrently along with Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.36.50.59 (talk) 23:52, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
