The sourcing on her death is a little sketchy. It cites

  • a Yahoo news aggregator article ([1]);
    • which in turn is derived from a BFM TV report ([2]);
      • which in turn is based on a tweet by Allocine ([3]);
        • which itself is derived from a posting ([4]) on a funeral director's site announcing a funeral for an Ariel Atounoux.

That's a pretty tenuous chain, ultimately relying on a non-WP:RS: the basic source is just a funeral director's site announcing that there will be funeral for a person named Ariel Atounoux. We cannot be certain that it's the same person as Ariel Besse-Atounoux; and should Wikipedia be reporting as fact a death that ultimately is sourced only to a funeral director? Why don't we wait for something a little more reliably news? It's not being independently reported in any other news.

If I had to guess, this is probably Ariel Besse, and it is probably true that she has died. But we usually have a higher threshold than "probably". TJRC (talk) 02:02, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
