The lycee fruit is offered at Lollicup (supplier of blended beverage's, coffee's, and tea's) in the form of the Lychee Slush, Lychee Jelly Milk Tea, and Lychee Tea. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.29.65.31 (talk) 00:07, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

How is a false fruit different to a true fruit?[edit]

So arils may form a false fruit like a yew berry (is it a berry?), but what makes that different to a true fruit like an apple or a plum? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.3.104.181 (talk) 20:29, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Picture gallery[edit]

The following images were included on the article, but together did not form a cohesive gallery of the type expected by WP:IG. Galleries are not to be used to cram additional indiscriminate images into the article such that they only serve as more examples of the article subject without a reason to be in the gallery, such as direct compare & contrast or as an ordered series, e.g. lifestages of an organism. So per the advice in the image use policy pages, I have queued the images here until the article is expanded to support more images. Rkitko (talk) 04:04, 18 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Aril = sarcotesta ?[edit]

Both articles mention pomegranate as example of fruit containing the respective organ-part. Which is true? Or are both the same thing ? Kembangraps (talk) 09:09, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No, they are different. I've just added a citation to sarcotesta. That is derived from the integuments of the seed, whereas an aril is derived from the funiculus. An aril can in some cases completely cover the seed, but usually is more like a cup or a blob projecting to the side. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 17:56, 1 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
