[edit]Unfortunately, this article was not well researched, and many of its assertions are plainly wrong. For instance, the idea that the Arizona strip was not settled by Europeans until the 20th century is absurd. For instance, the town of Fredonia, which the article mentions, was founded in the 1880's. In addition, Jacob Hamblin and numerous other Mormon pioneers had ranches and both in the lowlands, such as House Rock Valley, and on the Kaibab Platueau, then known as the Buckskin Mountain, dating from the mid-19th century. Though it was certainly sparsely settled, and remains so today, it's European settlement dates back at least 140 years
Can anyone explain why this area was not assigned to Utah?Pbrower2a (talk) 21:55, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

[edit]I have seen no mention of the Indian , as if they did not exist until settlers arrived, when in fact they had populated the area for a thousand years. Just a slight oversite.Would love to hear from people with Piaute knowledge Catweasel (talk) 20:06, 8 June 2024 (UTC)
