CIA data

[edit]

CIA Data, please, do not use CIA data to back your claims, it is very unreliable and totally inaccurate. Example, CIA is stating Croatia is spending 2.3% of its annual GDP on defense, which is totally wrong, Croatian military spending is kept at 1.7-1.8% of GDP.

In 2005 Croatian defense spendings stood at 4.130 million Kuna which at than exchange rate was 694.7 million USD. in 2006 Croatian defense spendings were 4.240 million Kuna or 276.4 million USD Croatian Defense Budget for 2007 stands at 4.42 billion Kuna or 804 million USD.

Expenditure will increase to near 2% in 2008 Budget to comply with NATO policy and it is expected to hit 5.2 billion Kuna or 945.5 million kuna,

2009 defense budget will be in region of 2% - or 6.7 billion USD - 1220 million USD.

CIA economic data is totally flawed as well, totally inaccurate and not keeping with the economic trends, one starts to ask where these people get there data from.

Croatia plans to spend 1 billion Euros on new fighters, MOD uped the upper limit so that EF 2000 can enter the competition. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.110.62.41 (talk) 01:46, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Active members of Croatian military

[edit]

This article put a wrong number of the total active personnel of the Croatian Armed Forces. The personnel can't be 17000, because the Croatian Army has 16000, the Croatian Navy has about 1800, and the Croatian Air Force has 2000, moreover, there are around to 2000 men commanded directly by the General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces, so the total number of active men in the Armed Forces is about 22000. --190.172.247.97 (talk) 18:25, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
