Notability

I have added some references to this article to improve it. I can't help thinking that his notability is really tied to Román González (boxer) (he gets a much larger paragraph in the Román González WP article then he does in his own BLP), and that perhaps this BLP should be a Redirect to that section of the González article?

What would change things if is there was a WP:SIGCOV for Obando in a major newspaper covering his bio outside of just his importance in relation to González. Everything I found were en-articles really about González – perhaps there are good local Nicaraguan WP:RS that would have this which we could translate for this BLP?

If stronger sourcing on Obando cannot be found to support his standalone-BLP, then his details would be better preserved as part of the González BLP (which is definitely notable and has long-term stability in WP). Britishfinance (talk) 13:13, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
