In 2018, Arriva had a logo and vehicle livery rebrand and since then vehicles have very gradually gained the new logo and livery, Most ex-Sapphire buses are now being repainted into the new standard Arriva livery (110 Tamworth, 575 Bolton, Arriva Colchester Stansted 133), Arriva 700 Bluewater, Most Arriva buses now seem to have leather seating as standard (or are being retrimmed as such) and I would assume going forward none would include USB sockets or any of the Sappphirey things they once had,

Anyway my question is Should this article now be converted to past-tense given Sapphire seems to very much be a thing of the past?. Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 17:24, 18 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Is it likely this retirement of the brand will be covered by sources? Ideally reliable sources, but maybe a press release or even someone’s bus blog? — HTGS (talk) 18:51, 18 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @HTGS, I could be completely wrong but it seems the whole brand has just been forgotten about so I don't expect Arriva will announce its retirement nor do I believe any news articles will cover it. Of course I could be completely wrong tho, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 16:24, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Withdrawn - Given there's been no interest here I'll take the bull by the horns and will wait till the end of 2022 to see how things have progressed. My hunch is that further vehicle repaints will happen and that as the year goes on we'll see the brand less and less, Either way I'll wait till the end of 2022 and will change all to past-tense if required. –Davey2010Talk 14:26, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Routes 101 & 700[edit]

To my knowledge and understanding, Arriva Southern Counties' routes 101 & 700 are no longer designated as Sapphire routes by the company. The dedicated fleet of ADL Enviro400s for the 101 have all been repainted into the standard "Journey Mark" livery although most of these still carry Sapphire spec interiors.

As for the 700, the E400 MMC branded for this route (YX17 NEN) was also recently repainted to remove both the Sapphire and Route specific branding, please observe the linked photographs for proof: June 14th 2022 July 7th 2022

Would it be appropriate for both routes to be removed from the list? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.29.246.30 (talk) 00:43, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, To be fair the 100 and 700 aren't the only ones. Given most Sapphire vehicles have either been repainted into the new livery or wholy replaced by random older-gen liveried vehicles I would say IMHO the list should stay as is and the article be changed to past tense.
