Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Art auction. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Article needs help!

[edit]

OK, I'm having trouble with this article. First off, there is a clear bias towards Western culture and specifically Britain in this article (there's disturbing lack of detail about any other country in fact). In fact, it's confusing where a lot of this is taking place because the two auction houses discussed are multinational corporations, so statements like "After Christie's announced it was cooperating with the government in the antitrust investigation in January 2000..." need to be clarified- which government? Where?

Several paragraphs are just confusing and poorly worded, especially the "early days" section.

Amounts of money not clear- are they adjusted for inflation?

Citations don't always make sense. For example, there is a link to a 1996 article in the "Controversy" section, which supposedly backs up statements about lawsuit in 2000.

Sorry, I really don't know much about this subject and am not more helpful! Additionally, I'm not really a wikipedia person, so my apologies if I am doing this incorrectly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.106.79.72 (talk) 00:32, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
