Unrealistic, by whose standards?

[edit]

Second paragraph states: "Unrealistic"

By whose standards? And what is the evidence that the Egyptian art was totally unrealistic? No sources are given, thus the statement in the Wikipedia article is speculation and subjective and not an academically sound insertion into a Wikipedia article.

Better: Some Egyptian art was based on real life people and experiences, while as occurs in Art in all nations, some art is based on mythology, fantasy, future objectives. 38.15.238.229 (talk) 10:11, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

See Twenty-fifth Dynasty of Egypt - the term is a common one, and the period much celebrated by Afrocentrism etc. There is some dispute over the term, but it is hardly racist to use it. Johnbod (talk) 16:22, 1 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
