Artesian aquifer is NOT the same as artesian well

[edit]

Artesian aquifer (a suitable permeable layer full of undergound water under pressure) is not the same as artesian well (well - an object for extracting water) - it's almost obvious. But in en.wiki aren't separated articles (both issues are mixed) and artesian aquifer is only redirect to artesian well. Unlike in many other languages, where these concepts are kept separated.

It makes quite a disturbance in interwiki links! - same of them are appropriate, same wrong. As a result, it can also cause a lot of confusion for people who doesn't know, and want to gain knowledge (but - f.e. - would be silently redirected between articles).

The best way would be splitting the article artesian well into two separate ones (and checking interwiki links again)... (anyone against? ;) )--Segu (talk) 21:21, 21 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
