I saw the show in question, and I'm almost certain that the person who said it was Bruno Lawrence, while in a conversation with "Neville Purvis", rather than being said by NP himself. From memory:

NP: So how do you think the series went?
BL: Not too bad - and at least no-one said "fuck".
