Untitled[edit]

Hi! This portrait is not contemorary. My guess by the costume is that its painted somewhere around 1855-1860. Dont think its Arthur Fenner. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.228.217.99 (talk) 23:02, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's Fenner. It's a crop of the official state portrait. I'll see if I can upload the full portrait. - Kzirkel (talk) 16:56, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Categories removed[edit]

I've taken the liberty to remove Fenner from the two categories "American colonial people" and "Rhode Island colonial people" since all mention of Fenner in the article deal with post-colonial events, including his governorship.Sarnold17 (talk) 10:01, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Captain Arthur Fenner[edit]

I want to clarify the relationship between Governor Fenner and Captain Arthur Fenner (b.1622). If I read it right, the Biographical Cyclopedia says he's the grandfather, but that seems unlikely, if Gov Fenner was born 1745. Maybe someone can clear it up - Kzirkel (talk) 16:58, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
