Name[edit]

I was going to change the article title to "A. R. Mitchell" but I am finding that he is generally referred to as A.R., including the name of "A.R. Mitchell Museum of Western Art" per MOS:INITIALS and WP:COMMONNAME.–CaroleHenson (talk) 18:05, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Museum names tend to do that. pulpartists.com uses "A. R. Mitchell". Besides, MOS:INITIALS supervenes a museum's manual of style. --Omnipaedista (talk) 07:17, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

And his obituary uses his full name: "Obituary for Arthur Roy Mitchell". Fort Collins Coloradoan. November 16, 1977. It is preferrable for us to do the same to avoid confusion with Andrew Ronald Mitchell. --Omnipaedista (talk) 07:29, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
