Class assignment/expansion

[edit]

I plan to expand the stub into a full length Wikipedia article as part of the APS Wikipedia initiative and a graduate level class assignment. -Amylynn0815-- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amylynn0815 (talkcontribs) 02:23, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Amylynn0815, thanks a lot for putting so much content in this article. In general, a lot of it is useful. However, the article, or its history section, does not say much about the motivation for ALG research, nor about the context in language acquisition. Also, many sections read like a paper, not like an encyclopedic article, and sometimes, very specific interpretations are preferred over an exposition of the more general questions. Then, the references do not have any page numbers, and sometimes it is obvious that a given reference cannot support the statement in question. Since you seem to have some expertise and overview over the topic, it would be great if you could improve on these issues. Kind regards, (talk) 20:46, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
