Review[edit]

Article is short and ripe for promotion. Please stay tuned for more information. MX () 19:26, 9 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Below is the full review. I will re-read it again later tonight, but I found no major issues. Placing article on hold. MX () 20:00, 9 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lead paragraph[edit]

  • she has a new fiancé – sections says it was the boyfriend. Please reconcile the information.
  • Juan Gabriel v. Gabriel – I would stick with "Juan Gabriel" throughout the entire article. Gabriel is not a surname and from what I've gathered by reading online (and being from Mexico myself), we use "Juan Gabriel" in all mentions.
  • infobox – There are a few things in the infobox that are not cited in the body and need to be, per WP:INFOBOXCITE. I think we discussed this before in one of your past GAs, so let me know what does not need a reference here. But here are a few things uncited: B-side "Ojos Azules Como el Mar", Length 5:25, Label RCA.

Background and release[edit]

  • In 1985, Isabel Pantoja released Marinero de Luces, an album produced by José Luis Perales with tracks written by Perales. – Should you word to: "... an album written and produced by José Luis Perales"? Not sure what "with track" means, but if it can be merged for better flow, the better.
  • brought Pantoja her back in the spotlight. – remove "Panoja" or "her".
  • Pantoja released "Tu Serás Mi Navidad" – Tú

Juan Gabriel version[edit]

  • Section title: Juan Gabriel version – Should be be Juan Gabriel's version? Not sure.
  • Gabriel held a concert at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City – I would recommend you move the "in Mexico City" phrase to the first mention of Palacio de Bellas Artes in the first section. You don't want to confuse readers that there could potentially be two palaces in different cities and that you're trying to differentiate.
  • infobox – per above, a few things uncited: B-side Ya No Vuelvo a Molestarte, Length 5:50, and Label BMG.

Other cover versions[edit]

  • Amo al Divo de Juarez: Tributo al Juan Gabriel – Juárez

Sources[edit]

  • All good here. Reliable and did not find any link rot.
I'll get to work on this either today or tomorrow. Been busy with life. Erick (talk) 10:24, 13 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm getting to work on it this Wednesday, again sorry for the delay. Erick (talk) 06:42, 22 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Finished! I'm using the CD single itself to source the B-sides, lengths, and labels, that's why you don't see it cited on the infobox. "Versions" is common on song articles (even on featured articles). Erick (talk) 18:38, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
