No community appears to exist here ...[edit]

From Google Maps, it looks like the area is mostly ranchland for livestock grazing. It is not clear any people actually live there.

One can use SCC GIS Profile[1] to find county parcel maps, and SCC Property Search[2] to check home ownership claims.

The following parcels are centered around this area:

42220 SAN ANTONIO VALLEY RD

APN: 070-13-001 (160 acres, left of Ashrama, contains some (farm?) structures, no homeowner(s))

xxxx SAN ANTONIO VALLEY RD

APN: 070-13-025 (640+ acres, below Ashrama, owned by Regional Parks ..., possibly Henry Coe ...)

xxxx BEAUREGARD RD

APN: 070-21-007 (900 acres, right and top of Ashrama, ranchland)

Other parcels further out (e.g., closer to Mount Hamilton Observatory, several miles away) appear to have homes on them.

Is there any proof/data that a community of people live (or have ever lived) in Ashrama?

UPDATE: After googling a bit, found this place is actually a spiritual retreat center, not a populated place.[1]

The street address for Ashrama is 42220 San Antonio Valley Road, but Google Maps incorrectly shows that address at same location as 34500 San Antonio Valley Road, which is about 9 miles east of it.
