ISIS[edit]

We have to be careful about reading what the source is actually saying. Although ANN is heavily implying that the ISIS kidnaps are the reason the anime got shelved, they said nothing to link the two events together. For what we know, the ANN article is basically saying "The anime has been indefinitely postponed. In other news, two Japanese men were held hostage by the ISIS" but putting the two events in the same article. _dk (talk) 01:12, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That may be true, but it seems as if you may be reading into something that isn't there i.e. reading between the lines of the news sources. Fuji TV is staying quiet but like any other news source, ANN and Fandom Post are putting two and two together—which may not necessarily be true, but as of now, its all we have to go on. I only had issue with your initial edit excluding the ISIS link, but the wording seems fine now. I can see how this might have been a concern for you given the sensitive subject matter. —KirtZMessage 01:32, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
For what its worth, I don't think ANN was actually suggesting it was the reason, merely providing information for a likely possibility. They do tend to include as much information as possible even if it's not necessarily directly related. Fandom Post seems to be making more of a point. Japan does tend to cancel things entirely because of real world incidents - IIRC Full Metal Panic was delayed for similar reasons (iirc an episode involving a plane hijack was the problem), X (manga) was completely cancelled due to two cases of life imitating art and Irem decided not to release a largely finished game because it was a little too close to home after the Earthquake a few years ago. Merger proposal[edit]

The result of this discussion was merge to Assassination Classroom. Jumpytoo Talk 05:56, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I propose merging 3-nen E-gumi Utatan into Assassination Classroom per WP:OVERLAP and WP:NMUSIC 10. Most of their notability and activities are tied to Assassination Classroom as the voice actors starred in the series. It's not uncommon for voice actors of an anime series to perform the opening/ending songs and be credited under a group name. lullabying (talk) 05:01, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Big agree. It was a group formed for the anime, and it's not particularly notable outside of that context. Sarcataclysmal (talk) 21:55, 24 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support I am convinced by the reasoning given here, as well as that at the DYK nomination by Narutolovehinata5. This group doesn't have any notability outside of Assassination Classroom and thus should be merged. Link20XX (talk) 06:02, 25 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support I like the anime and the music, but the music group is not independently notable. SL93 (talk) 16:11, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Support For the above reasons. --Vortex (talk) 21:23, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
