Overhaul[edit]

I've just undertaken a major overhaul of this page, and I'm quite happy with it. It could use some more detail, but I think what we have thus far is informative and well-referenced. If you wish to undertake any changes you think may be controversial, it's probably best to discuss them here first.raks (talk) 06:48, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Support for Beheadings[edit]

The article states that this organization "support beheadings, taking hostages and the killing of civilians (sometimes publicly).", and does not offer any evidence to support its claim. As far as I know from media reports, the group has condemned beheading and has helped mediate the release of hostages. http://www.islamonline.net/English/News/2004-05/12/article03.shtml I'm going to delete that clause and be on me way.

This article needs work[edit]

There are unsupported statements such as, "...it 's well known that..." Also, there are a number of grammatical errors as well as mispellings. However, it's apparent to me that the author has put effort into the article, despite its shortcomings. Brian Pearson 03:59, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed all the massively POV statements while trying to keep the whole article intact, but it is clear that this article could be a sticking point in the future so I feel it should be watched. Canadian-Bacon 00:25, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
