Not an "object"

[edit]

Transiting planet is a propitious orbital alignment, rather than a type of planet. I'm not clear it belongs on the table. Likewise, optical binaries, visual binaries, astrometric binaries, spectroscopic binaries and eclipsing binaries are dependent on the location observer, rather than being a physical type of binary star. Similar provisos apply to asterisms and constellations. Do we need a separate table for these categorizations?—RJH (talk) 19:56, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't a astronomical 'object' just something (persistent or periodic) we can 'see' (inc radio) in the night sky ? Most of those binaries you list look like a single point object so they seem to qualify. - Rod57 (talk) 13:53, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Astronomy it's a spiritual living for the original believers of Nature. Siyavuya Thomas (talk) 16:04, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Naturally occurring?

[edit]

I'm not sure that this is a proper criterium, or even what this means. What if we set an explosion that breaks a comet into two pieces? What if we build a moon? Cheers, Greenodd (talk) 01:00, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Those haven't happened. If they do, we can revisit the concern. Praemonitus (talk) 01:15, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nature is natural, no 0ne can oppose what's has been created national. What occurs in nature it is well balanced that is suppose to Aline with the Devinity. Siyavuya Thomas (talk) 16:16, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No mention of astronomical coordinates

[edit]

Aren't all astronomical 'objects' initially defined by where we see them in the sky - ie by declination and right ascension ? - Rod57 (talk) 13:50, 10 February 2018 (UTC) so um i need help with my homework and i dont know how to get help its due in tommorow as in 26 october 2021[reply]
