Proposed Edits
[edit]I am planning on making extensive edits to this article. First, I plan on broadly expanding the lead section to include more general information about the novel rather than just the author, the publication date, and the fact that one of the stories was once adapted into a film. I will also be adding significant content to the Reception section, including information on why the novel has been challenged across the country, as well as providing information on individual cases. A Genre and Style section is also necessary to help the reader understand the key ideas and thoughts that the author, Chris Crutcher, is trying to get across to the average young adult reader. I will be adding a few different interviews with the author himself to help provide direct sources back to the author's thoughts on the novel and why it has been challenged. In the summary section, many of the summaries contain subjective and interpreted text, and one of the summaries contains nothing other than a block quote from the author, which is not sufficient. I plan on obtaining the book to provide more direct information and clarity on the subjective content.Johnnyhoya (talk) 14:05, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
