Injustice to Prisoners[edit]

Injustice to prisoners caused the 1971 riot? How so? POV problems here.John Paul Parks (talk) 03:29, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well-knownedness[edit]

Second only to Alcatraz? I dunno, I'd have to say that Sing Sing is pretty well known, too... maybe even more so? (It is, after all the place being referenced when people say they're being sent "up the river.") -HiFiGuy 06:20, 20 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

alcatraz---[edit]

i have never seen it but attica looks like a mid-evil castle and the doors are very heavy when you push them open---but it is a nice two hour ride that seems to go quicly when ever i drive it....but i also think it is one of the oldest prisons in the united states---that might make it second to alcatraz or elmira corectional in time lines of being estabished.--72.227.16.222 12:23, 8 March 2006 (UTC)--72.227.16.222 12:23, 8 March 2006 (UTC)--72.227.16.222 12:23, 8 March 2006 (UTC)--72.227.16.222 12:23, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

address?[edit]

Why the hell is the address here? Is this relevant at all? I'm going to take it out, but please let me know if there's some reason for its inclusion. Natalie 18:45, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why is Sam Melville listed as being murdered?[edit]

Specifically, "# Sam Melville, notorious as "mad bomber" in 1960s, a Weather Underground member murdered by NYS Troopers in assault 9/13/71[3]."

He was killed during the forcible ending of the riots; how on earth does that equate to murder? Shouldn't this be changed to 'killed'? (69.232.239.205 (talk) 05:55, 30 July 2010 (UTC))[reply]
