Notability of the topic[edit]

Given that all the works in the 'References and further reading' section appear to relate to Anne Frank generally rather than Auguste van Pels specifically, can anybody tell me why Auguste is sufficiently notable to have an article independent of People associated with Anne Frank? Reading the article on Buchenwald extermination camp should suffice. Without Auguste van Pels and other biographies an essential bulwark against Holocaust revisionism is lost.G. Robert Shiplett 22:56, 14 August 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Grshiplett (talkcontribs)

Except the article states that she didn't die in Buchenwald but "probably Theriesenstadt". Your "essential bulwark against Holocaust revisionism" argument has two problems: (i) it would apply to every victim of the Holocaust (meaning millions of articles, if it were followed) & (ii) this particular "bulwark" would not be "lost" in any case, as the "esential"s can be covered under People associated with Anne Frank. In any case such an argument is entirely WP:COATRACKy. HrafnTalkStalk 06:02, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
