Wait, what?

[edit]

Isn't there another YouTuber called Austin Evans? Shouldn't this article be renamed because of that? 92.17.88.8 (talk) 04:14, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not unless the Youtuber meets our notability guidelines, which most of them don't. At the moment there is only one Austin Evans with a Wikipedia article: this one. Frickeg (talk) 07:18, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If iJustine and Marques Brownlee are notable such that they get an article, i'm sure that austin is too. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Barry Henry Allen (talkcontribs) 00:45, 9 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I would agree since Austin has been around for about as long as them if not longer, however he does not meet the Wikipedia notability requirements. I do not like it, but it is what it is. Punitdaga31 (talk) 20:08, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Austin's new 'This Is' YouTube channel has had multiple tech celebrities such as MKHBD, Dave 2D, IJustine, Linus Tech Tips, e.t.c, so I personally would request to at least add a warning as "not to be confused with tech youtuber Austin Evans", as I feel more people would come searching for him rather than the Austin Evans mentiond here.SteakFisher (talk) 08:03, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pretty simple, folks. If the person isn't notable, no need to bring them up. Frickeg (talk) 08:22, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Frickeg and Punitdaga31: Ask and you shall receive. Lucky for you guys, I went ahead and worked on an Austin Evans Wikipedia page this past week, and it's pretty much ready for mainspace - it should be up shortly. He easily meets WP:GNG with flying colors, and it surprises me that he never had a Wikipedia article before. PantheonRadiance (talk) 06:30, 29 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
