I have put the NOT VERIFIED template on this article because it contains claims to be one of the busiest in Atlantic Canada and to have the largest food court. These claims require sourcing, in the form of a citation. Please don't remove the tag unless the claims are removed or cited. Thanks! cmh 23:55, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Renovations in the 1990's

[edit]

I know many people who worked for Woolco in St. John's, and no one seemed to indicate that slumping sales was the reason for the mall renovations (at either location) in the early 90's. As well, this article spends too much time referencing the Village Shopping Centre. Suggest this article needs to be cleaned up or verified. 71.7.193.249 00:05, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Flea Markets At This Mall

[edit]

This sentence: "Until Sunday shopping was legalized in Newfoundland and Labrador in 1998, the Avalon Mall had flea markets on Sunday afternoons." strongly suggests that the flea markets ended in 1998. In fact, they have continued to take place, and just today (10 Dec 10) were reported under threat of closure. See: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/newfoundland-labrador/story/2010/12/09/flea-market-avalon-mall-129.html I'm editing the article to reflect this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cayzle (talkcontribs)
