Just a quick note, I am Michael Stanton (formerly referred to on this page as Mike Stainton). On the first two Avant Garde demos, Eric Ridel (Kevin Ridel's brother) was the 2nd lead guitar player, and I came in for the 3rd demo tape.

I thought "Later of Microsoft (band)" was funny. No, I left the music world and many years later got a job at Microsoft the company. I was puzzled when I first saw that, but I guess it is because everybody else had a "later of X" after their name, so for symmetry, the same was done for me.

1960s avant garde

[edit]

There was also a late 1960s band called the Avante Garde (who actually charted). This page needs to be disambiguated. --64.235.131.10 06:50, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

1960s band

[edit]

And I actually came to this page looking for info on the late 60s version of this band name. Their charting singles were Naturally Stoned and Fly With Me, both in 1969 I believe. MrHandy1 20:36, 26 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
