Cast list

[edit]

Avataars has an excessively large cast - it's something that Tom Brevoort comments on and it's also painfully obvious when you try to list the cast on a wikipedia page. For the moment, I've simply listed 'em all. But the best option is probably...

  • Decide which ones are major characters and which are just random cameos/walk-ons
  • Condense the cameos by association and list them in passing, in a paragraph - all of Dreadlord's minions except his right-hand goon Black Blade can probably be treated that way, for example. As can the X'Changlings.
  • Don't speculate about Marvel Universe counterparts - some are clear enough to state with confidence, many aren't.

Sound like a plan? --Mrph 22:15, 10 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like a good plan to me:-)
I think the best way to look at this is to ask, who was integral to the plot and who wasn't. The sections I'd keep would be Champions of the Realm (minus the cameo appearance characters), Heroes of other lands, X'Changlings and Dreadlord's minions. I agree with you that the last one could be shaved down quite a bit too. I'm also not completely sure of the X'Changling as they only appeared for a few pages (not much more than Webslinger). As you've already mentioned, they can be put in a paragraph, but it might be OK to list them singularly as X'Changlings under Heroes of other lands as well. With the X'Changlings, I'd tend towards a short paragraph each for Simon Magus and Seer, then a summary list (minimal detail, just names) of their followers and counterparts. Sound reasonable? --Mrph 00:33, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds resonable enough to me :-) Stephen Day 21:10, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
