Just an advertizement from the company[edit]

This whole wiki page is created by the company. Read sections 2 and 3:

(2) The growth of the digital KVM switch enabling the remote control of geographically dispersed data centers and driven by strong software development making more robust access and control practical - an area we continue to expand; and (3) The diversification and “management” phase (revolving around the acquisition of LANDesk and Touchpaper software and the capabilities it brings), which is on the horizon and leverages our points of presence in data centers.

It uses words like "we" and "our" which clearly indicates that this is not adding anything encyclopedic here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.228.19.217 (talk) 05:24, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wow[edit]

I used to work for this company until the end of last year, this merger is a suprise to me but i'm wondering why there is so little info on the details of it. Why is Avocent being bought out by Emmerson? Why isn't this kind of information on the Avocent page? It's certainly a big enough company to warrant more content on that alone, especially considering Avocent's history of aquiring smaller companies. - 121.44.197.16 (talk) 15:11, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed patent claim[edit]

Removed the claim of the technology being based on a specific patent as it was based on the author´s interpretation of a primary source alone, as per WP:NOTRS: "All interpretive claims, analyses, or synthetic claims about primary sources must be referenced to a secondary source, rather than original analysis of the primary-source material by Wikipedia editors."
