Very incomplete - Diplopedia categorizes something like 70+ different recognitions for State personnel. Mikebar (talk) 19:08, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The medal sets for meritorious and superior honor awards was discontinued about 4 years ago :( - Mikebar (talk) 04:26, 7 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • While this article and singular articles note proposed Department of State awards, there are no references that point to factual information. The ribbon pictures look convincing, but there are no references to official US Department of State proposals for establishment of these particular awards. Unless public references to award proposals or news articles or other acceptable reference documentation is included to substantiate proposed awards, this article should be edited to remove any proposed awards. Not that I'm against State awards, on the contrary but facts are required. Mikebar (talk) 00:20, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Public information about some of the proposed awards is now becoming available and is linked on the website. (Satre21 (talk) 19:14, 29 August 2011 (UTC))[reply]

Presidential Meritorious Service Award[edit]

The Presidential Meritorious Service Award is currently not listed, nor is there an article for it. There are enough mentions of it being awarded to FSOs at state.gov and elsewhere to believe that it exists, but I can't find defining law, images, etc. Any ideas? —[AlanM1(talk)]— 13:41, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

DCM of the Year?[edit]

According to John F. Tefft, he was awarded the "DCM of the Year Award". The only similar award I can find is the "James A. Baker III – C. Howard Wilkins, Jr. Award for Outstanding Deputy Chief of Mission". Is this the same award? —[AlanM1(talk)]— 13:50, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
