Reliable source and personal life

[edit]

Hi @RomanDeckert:, as you added some of this to Music of Sudan, I found it and just added some minor information to this brand new article on the king of zenig music. Glad to see that this type of underground music now also is represented on WP, and hope it will get a lot of views. (Articles on music are usually very popular, even for Sudan!) - Too bad, we don't have the poster for the remake of Azibni: Maybe someone from MICT could upload it to wikimedia?

Just three small remarks: I am not sure, if Twitter is considered a reliable source, so this reference might be challenged in the future. If the only personal information is that his family hails from the Nuba mountains, I would rather include it in the next paragraph. And the fact that he has two daughters seems to me of little importance for an encyclopedic article. - But I will certainly leave that up to you. Best regards and keep up your good work for Sudan and other worthwhile topics! Munfarid1 (talk) 21:20, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dear @Munfarid1:, thank you VERY much indeed for your additions which are greatly appreciated! I am already in contact with an old friend from MiCT with regard to uploading the poster and have some hope, although it is often difficult to get other people to upload stuff, as you probably know. I also tweeted widely about the new article asking people to upload photos they might have taken themselves so keep fingers crossed there as well.
Your comment about Twitter as a source is certainly right, but I thought that Jenny Gustafsson is a very well respected journalist and therefore her tweets would be just as trustworthy. I hope to get some more info about his personal background which is surely intereting because of his Nuba background and the urban identity that breaks ethnic and tribal barriers. And, yes, actually, one might argue about the importance of mentioning his daughters, but I was somewhat surprised that such a party guy is a family guy and therefore thought it worth mentioning like the offspring of other famous personalities gets mentioned, too. - Best wishes to you as well, always enjoying all your contributions and looking forward to more cooperation!RomanDeckert (talk) 04:55, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Dear @RomanDeckert:, glad to share similar interests with you, Sudan and the Middle East deserve more and better articles on WP. If you ever feel like discussing anything about Sudan, Syria or Morocco that I or my many friends from different cultural scenes in those countries, where I lived for a couple of years, might know about, you are most welcome to contact me any time. - I think you remember my real name, and if you write my first and last name attached, and then add @outlook.com, you can also reach me directly. (Natürlich auch auf Deutsch!:) LG Munfarid1 (talk) 18:13, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
