Birth place[edit]

What is Beqaj? Google didn't return any useful info. According to google results, he was born in Rubovc. Any ideas on this? --dcabrilo 14:14, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Beqe Beqaj was indicted by the Hague War Crimes Tribunal in 2004 for allegedly intimidating witnesses who were supposed to testify against Kosovo's (then) prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj. He was represented by Azem Vllasi. He was released after serving a few months - suspended sentence.

Rubovc is a village in the township of Dardana (formerly known as Kamenica e Kosoves).

His name was frequently misspelled Vlasi in former Yugoslavia and it's useful to note this so that people can find him under the other name he was referred to, too.
