Removal of prod template[edit]

I removed the prod template from the main article. The main reason is that although this article could use (as well as have, if someone would take the time) some improvement, it does not violate the WP:NOT, since it's neither an instruction manual, walktrough or a "how-to". This article doesn't contain any instructions or directions for anything, it only tells about a fictional place or country in the Warcraft universe. Ie it is no different from the articles about for example Mordor or Minas Tirith, only less extensive. Neither could it be considered a vanity article, since the Warcraft games are well-known among gamers and Fantasy and have been in existence for more than ten years by now. /Magore 13:01, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Recon Myth[edit]

Their has always been the World of Azeroth ie the Planet and the Azeroth Kingdom right from the very start. The capital of Azeroth Kingdom has always been Stormwind (despite being spelt wrong occastionally in Warcraft 1 as Stonewind). Check out the map from Warcraft 1

Then in Warcraft II they added a few other Kingdoms, but still the southern part of the Eastern Kingdoms was always Azeroth Kingdom with the capital of Stormwind.

And it still remains Azeroth Kingdom with little changing right up to and including World of Warcraft

Granted they have added STV and a few other regions to Azeroth Kindgom etc, but their has always been only two definitions of Azeroth.

  1. The Name of the Planet, Azeroth (world)
  2. The name of the Kingdom, Azeroth (kingdom)

I've never seen it called the Kingdom of Azeroth after Warcraft III. In WoW[1] and on the current website[2], it's always called the Kingdom of Stormwind. This wiki[3] has more info. I'm restoring the deleted section.--Trystan 21:10, 28 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
