5th creation

Some editors may find it interesting to know that this article was created and deleted 4 times before this current, 5th incarnation. It's probably not a matter of his notability having increased -- as of this writing his album still hasn't been released yet. I think it's because previous incarnations weren't properly referenced. - Boston (talk) 04:49, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

  • And yes, it is fucken that the media has made him notable despite not having an album commercially released, but that's the face of the modern music business. Boston (talk) 18:36, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
Shouldn't the Lemma rather be "Bobby Ray Simmons"? I already had to remove a false reference to "Bobby Ray" on Season_of_the_Witch.. --91.180.222.159 (talk) 19:40, 22 April 2009 (UTC) -- sorry, wasn't logged in. --Sascha.leib (talk) 19:41, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Early life and career

I think his Early life and career should be expanded, i know he hasn't done much yet but he hasn't done that little it should talk about his business venture with Nike, him being signed to Atlantic, Grand Hustle and Rebel Rock and of course his name change and why he decided to do it. Those are just a few things that i think should be added, I would do it myself, if I didn't have the feeling that someone would just erase it as soon as i did. So what I want is some opinions on the 'Early life and career' section. 1Sire (talk), 31 August 2009 (UTC)

B.o.B.B.o.B — B.o.B's name is spelled/typed as "B.o.B" not "B.o.B." --NO 4 Life 22:51, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

  • Oppose We do not follow quirky style used by individuals, companies, etc. Wikipedia guidelines are to use the correct grammatical form. It could be mentioned in the article that he uses the style "B.o.B", without the stop/period. Skinsmoke (talk) 16:29, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

B.o.B. vs B.o.B

Is there a period after the second B?

The article name and the name used inside the article are inconsistent... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.226.42.225 (talk) 18:34, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

no there isn't, but these people on wikipedia can't understand that (i tried to move this article to "B.o.B", but they won't let me)--NO 4 Life 14:59, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

Move

This page needs to be to moved "B.o.B", without a period after the second B. This is how it's really spelled. 76.127.217.214 (talk) 01:04, 12 April 2010 (UTC)

Change His Name To B.o.B

His name is B.o.B, NOT B.o.B. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.181.225.114 (talk) 06:13, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Why Bobby Ray goes by B.O.B

Can anyone Please tell me why bobby ray goes by B.o.B? is it just because his name is bob or does it stand for something else? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.80.97.3 (talk) 21:49, 8 June 2010 (UTC) I heard him say in an interview (I don't remember which one) that it was a reference to the Outkast song of the same name —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.131.133.241 (talk) 02:22, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Lack of Language

Should someone mention that B.o.B doesn't seem to swear very much compared to other artists like Lil' Wayne and Eminem? —Preceding unsigned comment added by XGrantBx (talkcontribs) 21:44, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Instruments

I believe on MTV's When I was 17, he stated that he also played the horn and drums. 24.189.87.160 (talk) 02:29, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

"Third consecutive hit"

His third single, "Magic" recently became B.o.B's third consecutive top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Consecutive in what sense, if he released other singles both before and after Airplanes (the second)? --77.98.171.189 (talk) 17:07, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Debut Album

The Adventures of Bobby Ray was not his debut album it was just his most popular. He had at least two albums before this one. I think that should be mentioned in the article. He has a song called 'Top of the World' which features Ludacris among others. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.71.124.60 (talk) 05:47, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

Are you referring to his EPs? Yves (talk) 05:49, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
The song On Top Of the World is on T.I.'s album Paper Trail. The Adventures of Bobby Ray is his first full length album. He had two EPs before that and a bunch of mixtapes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.131.133.241 (talk) 02:20, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Nas Influence

I hear an nas influence when I listen to his music

Okay? STATic message me! 02:48, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
That would be original research. Find someone you can quote saying the same thing, and it can go in the article. Skinsmoke (talk) 20:46, 7 December 2012 (UTC)

Early life correction

In the "early life" section there is a sentence fragment. It is in the sentence, "In elementary through high school, where he played trumpet in the school band. It should say something more like, "He played trumpet in his school band, in both elementary and high school." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.163.27.156 (talk) 16:16, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

In General...

This is one of the worst articles I've ever seen on Wikipedia. It is so poorly written it is absurd. It reads as though it were written by an illiterate ten-year old. It is rife with syntax errors, there are sentence fragments, a lack of articles...I could go on and on if I had the time and/or energy. I honestly see no way of 'fixing' it as written now. In my opinion it should be deleted entirely until someone has the time to re-write it entirely. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.208.80.108 (talk) 14:58, 4 September 2011 (UTC)

Missing Mixtape

B.o.B has another unmentioned mixtape available, titled EPIC: Every Play Is Crucial. This mixtape is available for download at Datpiff.com. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jolson97 (talkcontribs) 21:48, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
