Rapper "BLP"
[edit]- I've never heard of this rapper, if this is not a hoax, create a suitable page such as BLP (Rapper) or BLP (Musician) and add an entry to the disambiguation page. Certainly the file format and Bell-Lapadula Model are more known in many (certainly academic) circles than this ostensible rapper. Usrnme h8er 18:48, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

- Um. Except he's not called BLP is he? He's called El-P. Usrnme h8er (talk · contribs) 10:49, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
wiki's BLP
[edit]I added a separate entry on Wiki's BLP policy, even though it is mentioned in the italicized comment at the top of the page. The problem is that a typical user of wikipedia (myself included) had seen thousands of pages with irrelevant technical comments in italic before the main text, and based on that experience he would only read the italicized comments if he has concerns about whether he is looking at the correct page or whether there are problems with the page. In other words, the user would first read (or at least peek into) the main page and would only read the italic comments if he suspects issues. In this case, the entire disambiguation page is entirely legit.
(Written out of my own experience: I came across the term reading through one of wiki's talk pages, googled "BLP", came to this disambiguation page, "read" it and closed it being absolutely certain it did not mention the correct term. Only when I found the answer and came back to edit the BLP disambiguation page I found that it already has the info).
Not removing the italicized comment on the top but feel free to do so. But a separate entry that DOES look like an entry definitely needs to be here.
