Merge with BMW 3 Series (G20)

[edit]

I propose merging BMW i3 (G28) into BMW 3 Series (G20). I think the content in BMW i3 (G28) is so short that it can easily be explained in the context of BMW 3 Series (G20). It will be just like how the Kona Electric is included in Hyundai Kona, or the 7 Series/i7 (G70) and X1/iX1 (U11) have a single article. Common is that both the internal combustion and the battery electric version have the same body, platform, codename, just that they have different powertrain. The different powertrain can easily be explained in BMW 3 Series (G20). SideMaster (talk) 22:20, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree about your opinion, can you see the separated articles for the same model between BMW iX3 and BMW X3? Policha (talk) 06:30, 26 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I second the opinion of merging the G28 i3 into the G20 3-Series pages. Given the fact they all share the same Cluster Architecture (CLAR) platform, and the redundancy of having a second page for a description of less than 100 words, it could very easily be explained within the G20 page under its own heading, similar to the LWB version of the 3 series that isn't available in the states, which doesn't have its own page.
As for the iX3 and the X3, I feel it should also be housed entirely under the G01 X3, as it also shares the same platform and can easily be explained under its own heading within the X3 page.
It's easy to find a single example of something that has yet to be merged, but when there are multiple examples throughout multiple manufacturers that support the move, I feel its not necessary to have the extra pages up and running. Cosaw713 (talk) 09:01, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
