More artist pages needed!

[edit]

Wikipedia's coverage of portraiture could do with some serious expansion. This is a very prestigious award, so anyone who's won it is notable by default, and really ought to have their own Wikipedia page. I've disambiguated some of the red-links that pointed to pages for cricketers (/ etc) that had the same names, and I've also started a category for award winners. Ideally it'd be good to expand this with a second, wider category for people selected by the NPG for exhibition. ErkDemon (talk) 13:32, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New section

[edit]

Every year, the BPPA also select one portrait to showcase on all their publicity materials. I've added a section for those "showcase" works, but I wasn't sure what to call it (would "Showcase works" be suitable? Dunno). The title is currently "Selected works", which might be a bit vague.

I've only gone back as far as 2005, because there seemed to be some Googley-ambiguity over which work was used on the cover of the 2004 catalogue, and I don't know the back-story. Should we also link to the ISBN numbers of the yearly catalogue editions, and/or their amazon pages? ErkDemon (talk) 18:06, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
